honey mustard pork chops

honey mustard pork chops, snagged from http://crepesofwrath.net/2009/08/05/honey-mustard-pork-chops/trying out a new recipe this evening i found it on foodgawker. they’re a really fun site that has all sorts of recipes from antipasto to desserts.

this recipe is really easy so far. i’m hoping it’s as tasty as the picture looks. i’m not loving how the marinade is  smelling, so we’ll see.

i’m trying to figure out what else to make with this. not really in the mood for mashed potatoes or rice. hmm, definitely need a vegetable of some sort, probably broccoli or green beans. oooh, maybe some crescent rolls?! those are always tasty.

I’ll add my final verdict on this after we eat. the chops still needs to marinate for another hour minimum. i should have started everything sooner then i did. live and learn. live and learn.

note to self: decide on recipes the night before so you have enough time prep time! (in the case of marinades)

one of the best meals i have eaten in some time! the flavor was zingy, the citrus a fabulous bright note and the pepper flakes add this great heat to it. i have some left over marinade that was made into a sauce and that’s gonna be amazing on a sandwhich of some sort tomorrow!

this is definitely a marinade that could be used on chicken as well. whoo. i’m in such a great mood. good food does that to me. mmmm.
